Back in August of 2020 Simon Cowell was in the headlines for crashing on what was reported as an "e-bike," but in reality was closer to an electric motorcycle.
He sustained injuries to his back that required a six hour surgery to help him heal. This put the topic of e-bike safety center stage in the news cycle for a few days.
This week Mr. Cowell once again was reported to have sustained injuries following a crash, while not wearing a helmet - this time while riding an apparently street-legal e-bike.
With this new story popping up in headlines it's important to remind ourselves the need to take all proper safety precautions when cycling.
