Rad Power Bikes RadRunner 2 Review

You might notice that the RadRunner 2 isn’t the latest iteration of Rad Power Bikes’ versatile utility e-bike. We originally reviewed the RadRunner 2 in 2022, but since Rad made a splash with a new, currently limited “Pool Shark Blue” paint job, we felt the bike warranted a fresh look! One reason we’ve rated this bike so highly is its sheer value; with a price tag around $1,500, there's an absolute boatload of bang for the buck. Whether hauling groceries, bringing the kids along for an adventure, commuting to work, or just taking a leisurely ride, the RadRunner 2 can do it all for a price that is undeniably tough to beat. 
 

E-bike Trends for 2024

With 2023 behind us – a year of layoffs and insolvencies in the industry but slashed price tags on the shopfloor – there are plenty of potential new developments in the offing for 2024. Some involvement brands may well arise from the ashes whilst mid-drive and gearing technology in particular looks a promising area of progress, promising a new rash of low maintenance and lightweight e-bikes (though not necessarily at the same time). But no doubt there will be unforeseen developments that no-one saw coming; after all the e-bike world is just as much at the mercy of events in the wider world as every other area of life.
