This week Pierce did an in-depth review on the Aventon Pace 500 Step Through. We reviewed the standard Pace 500 earlier this year and were impressed by the speed of the bike. Its great ride and zippy nature earned it a spot on our best city e-bike list for 2021.
This time around with the step through model we noted how it combines the best of both the city bike and cruiser bike worlds. It gives you a comfortable, upright ride, but the easier accessibility is inviting in a kick-back-and-cruise kind of way.
It also gave us a chance to reexamine the bike since Aventon has updated the brakes on this model as a result of componentry shortages affecting the e-bike industry at large. See the full review for how the new Zoom brakes held up.
The EBR team has finished our coverage of last week's Big Gear Show. Three days well-spent learning about some exciting e-bikes and getting to interview some great people who represent what their brands are all about.
Our final reviews include two QuietKat e-bikes - including their Jeep e-bike - and two offerings from fellow off-road e-bike specialists Bakcou.
For the weekly news recap we have Juiced's new step-through Cross Current X, the UK's Pure Electric adds it's first e-bike to its family of products, and Harley Davidson's Serial 1 lands in Europe.
