New Ford MoDe:Flex - The Transformer of E-Bikes [VIDEO]
Ford MoDe:Flex electric bike
Ford made another splash in the electric bike world with the introduction of their new MoDe:Flex e-bike.

The MoDe:Flex is an e-bike that can be split in half to fit in the back of a Ford vehicle and it can be transformed to be a road, mountain, or city bike.

There is also a smartphone and smartwatch app that provides a bunch of high tech features including warnings to the rider of a pothole in the road.

Shimano Sponsors "The Circuit" at Interbike [VIDEO]
Shimano STePS electric bike system
Shimano is serious about electric bikes and to make that point they recently stepped up to become the presenting sponsor of "The Circuit", which is a new e-bike and conventional bike indoor test track at Interbike, the largest bicycle trade show in the Americas.

Shimano recently launched their new STePS mid drive system with electronic shifting in the U.S. on the new Raleigh Misceo iE.

Interbike will be held this year at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas on September 16-18. There will be a public day on Friday September 18th and this is a great opportunity to see the new electric bikes and ride them on this new test track.

Lightweight Maxwell EP0 & Interview w/ Founder [VIDEO]
Maxwell EPO electric bike
With a claimed weight of 27 pounds the Maxwell EP0 is one of the lightest electric bikes out there!

By hiding the battery cells in the main frame tubes, the EP0 looks like a conventional bike.

Maxwell Motorbikes is a relatively new brand but I have known the founder, Troy Rank, for 5 years and he answered some questions about the new EP0 & Maxwell in this post.

That's it for now.  Stay tuned for more e-bike news and reviews.

And have a great week!
